Intrapolis
One project that achieved worldwide fame is the INTRAPOLIS, which Walter Jonas invented at the end of the 1950s. The background: Jonas experienced the sad and hostile suburbs in North and South America, which developed like cancerous tumors into unmanageable, unstructured and hostile slums with their ecological, social and cultural problems. Is there no modern way of life that is worthy of human beings? Jonas asked himself. This work gave rise to the idea of a humane funnel city - the Intrapolis.
